I visited Montréal with my brother several weeks ago for 3 days, and on day 2 I signed us up for a 6 hour Grand Tour of Montréal with Michel, from the tour company Urban Marmotte. The intention of this tour was to see most of Montreal in one day. My brother, being the trooper that he is, agreed to walk around the city for over 6 hours to appease me. I expected there to be a group of people on this tour, only to learn on the morning of that we were the only 2 people who had signed up for that particular tour. Awkward! This is not to imply that the tour was not deemed to be a good tour (it has received rave reviews on Tripadvisor), we just happened to have chosen to visit Montréal during the off-season.
By hour 7, my brother and I did feel like we had seen most of Montréal. We were exhausted! In fact, the following day I could barely walk; my feet hurt so much that I was limping. All that said and done, I do not regret taking this tour one bit! There is no way that we would have been able to see that much of Montréal in such a short period of time if not for our very knowledgeable tour guide Michel.
Thinking back on everything we saw, I would have to say that my favorite part of the tour was the art work (aka, graffiti). I usually do not pay much attention to graffiti, but I was captivated by the colors, stories behind the images and the sheer talent of the artists.
