I am a regular at the Coach House, and I often come here for lunch with my colleagues. For lunch I either get their All-Day-Breakfast (three scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, and white toast with a one pancake), or their chicken souvlaki on a pita – both of these options are $6.95 + $2.50 for one pancake. Or you can choose to get one order of pancakes for $6.95 and you get three pieces. This is what I love about this diner:
- It feels like a greasy spoon, and as common as one would think they would be in Toronto, that is in fact not the case – diners that do not just look like a diner, but really feel like a greasy spoon are rare
- Great portions
- Good value for money
- They have a broad menu, though I almost always order breakfast
- Great coffee with free refills
- They take debit and credit card
- Open early 7 days a week
- The hash browns don’t have onion
- Great staff and speedy service
- Both their pancakes are French toast are moist – you would not believe the number of places that can’t make a decent pancake (What a Bagel *cough cough)
- The restaurant is larger than it seems as there is a back portion to the restaurant, though aim to sit in the main area – cozier and better seating
I have attached their menu for you to peruse. 🙂
